Your State Representative

Life is getting tougher and scarier for most people.  Tariffs, trade wars, and the illegal war in Iran are making prices for gas, food, and housing go up.  At the same time, corporate consolidation, greed, and waste are raising the price of health care.  Most peoples raises don’t keep up—if they get a raise at all. We need our state government to show up for the working people, seniors, and people with disabilities who feel their futures slipping away.

When the DFL was in charge in 2023 and 2024, we reduced medical debt, protected access to reproductive care and gender-affirming care and reduced child poverty in our state.  We also started a paid family and medical leave program so you get time to bond with a new child and can take care of your child when they get sick, and we passed earned safe and sick time so you can take care of yourself.  We also provided free breakfast and lunch for all children in public schools, so kids are always fed and parenting is less stressful. We legalized cannabis, fought climate change, and protected voting rights with a series of election reforms.

I'm running for re-election because Minnesota government must work in the interest of ordinary Minnesotans who need government on their side.  I stand for affordable health care, education, and economic opportunity, and I stand up to the special interests who are taking more and more, leaving too many Minnesotans struggling to get ahead.

I will continue fighting for the people of Rochester and Minnesota against big insurance, pharmaceutical companies, and health care conglomerates who put health care out of reach; tech billionaires who want our resources, our data, and our kids; and politicians who attack our rights to control our own bodies and live our lives as we choose. I believe that we all do better when everyone can get the health care they need without going broke, live in a decent home, afford groceries, and send their kids to a good school.  I want to continue protecting our environment for our kids, grandkids,  and future generations.
